കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ തിടനാടാണ് 30 വർഷം പഴക്കമുള്ള ഈ വീട് . വീടിൻ്റെ പഴയ സ്ട്രക്ചർ നിലനിർത്തിക്കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ഒരു ബെഡ്റൂം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു. കൂടാതെ ശക്തമായ മഴയിൽ നനഞ്ഞിരുന്ന കാർ പോർച്ചിനെ രൂപമാറ്റം വരുത്തി ഇലവേഷൻ ഭംഗികൂട്ടി.
This beautiful home in Pala, Kottayam has been renovated to bring a fresh, modern look while keeping its traditional charm. In 2023, we partnered with our client, Praveen Jose, to transform a 1381 sq.ft home into a 1727 sq.ft haven that blends modern convenience with traditional charm. Our goal was to keep the character of the original design—like the beautiful wooden beams and classic layouts—while updating the space to meet today’s lifestyle needs.
We carefully planned every detail to preserve the home’s history while making it more practical. One of the original bedrooms was re imagined as a formal living area, perfect for welcoming guests. The main living room evolved into a comfortable family space with a TV zone, dining area, and a bright, cozy spot that fills with natural light throughout the day.
To add more functionality, we added a new bedroom complete with an attached wardrobe, dressing unit, and toilet. We also converted a former storage room into a bathroom and dressing area attached to another bedroom, all while maintaining the home’s natural ventilation. The kitchen was given a smart update too, with cabinets rearranged to make the best use of available space.
Outside, we redesigned the porch to improve both the look and efficiency of the building’s elevation. We enhanced the landscape with natural stone, pebbles, and buffalo grass, all set against a fresh, white theme that runs throughout the home.
This project is a true example of how thoughtful design can breathe new life into an older home. We are proud of how we managed to honor its original spirit while making significant improvements for modern living. We hope our work inspires others to see that with careful planning, an old home can be both a keeper of memories and a space full of new possibilities.
