In 2022, we had the honor of working with Mr. Jose Joseph, an NRI settled in the UK, to completely renovate his 2430 sq.ft home in Thadikkadavu, Kannur. This project was not just a renovation but a total transformation of the home’s interior and exterior, blending practical improvements with a luxurious touch.
We addressed several challenges in the original design, such as ventilation, lighting, and the staircase. The closed kitchen was converted into a spacious open kitchen with an attached island, creating a modern and functional space. The dining area was extended and seamlessly merged with the family living area, enhancing the home’s comfort and usability. A fourth bedroom was added to the home, along with an office room, making it more suited to modern living.
The staircase was redesigned, changing from anticlockwise to clockwise, improving both efficiency and aesthetics. The upper living area was converted into a theater room, creating a unique and enjoyable space for the family. Outside, we designed a separate porch and an outhouse to enhance the property’s layout and utility. The landscape was revamped with Bangalore stone and artificial grass, giving the home a fresh and elegant appearance.
Throughout the project, Mr. Jose Joseph was actively involved, providing clear and specific ideas at every stage. His vision and inputs were instrumental in ensuring the final result matched his dreams. It was a pleasure to work closely with him and bring his vision to life.
